Shiela Marie Grace Viclar Mercado has been teaching for six years. This is her third year of teaching at Edgewood Elementary School/Greater Boston Academy and her present assignment is to teach Grades 2, 3 and 4.
She is an alumna of Atlantic Union College, South Lancaster, Massachusetts where she earned both her Undergraduate and Graduate Degrees: BA Major in Liberal Arts and Master of Education Major in Administration and Supervision, respectively. She is hoping to earn this summer of 2010 her second Masters in Education with a concentration in Curriculum.
Her motivation in teaching is her opportunity to lead the children to our Lord Jesus Christ. She always advice her students to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3: 5-6. Her Life's Motto comes from Matthew 6:33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you.” Her Favorite Bible Text is Psalm 25:4-5 “ Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
